The Spiro Ark are delighted to present an exclusive visit to The British Library Judeo-Arabic books.
The British Library holds a very interesting collection of Judeo-Arabic books printed in Baghdad, Bombay and Leghorn, that were specifically intended for use by the Babylonian Jewish community. The collection spans more than 140 years and covers a wide range of subjects such as Bible, Halakhah, liturgy (including Passover haggodot), folklore, literature and much more.
Please join Ilana Tahan, OBE, Lead Curator of Hebrew and Christian Studies, for a special viewing of some of these unique treasures.
*Due to the limitations of venue, the number of people attending is restricted to maximum 20.
