The inaugural tour of Jewish Northampton (13th September) was an unprecedented success. A massive crown of 120 people participated in the walking tour. They were treated jointly to a giant tour by our director of the J Trail Department Marcus Roberts.
Shop keepers and passers-by were amazed at the numbers and puzzled by the fact that if it was a demonstration why weren't there banners to explain what it was all about. One shop keeper thought that over 120 people walking in the street represented "a fire hazard". The participants' verdict was one of satisfaction of learning so many new facts about their own city in which they dwelt for decades.
