Michelangelo had painted this fresco according to the Kabbalah which teaches that God created man through the Sfirah Chochmah, (i.e.wisdom). That was the reason why he concealed a cross-section of the human brain within his composition. He concealed only the right hemisphere of the brain, as the Kabbalah claims that
